Bad news that is so common in the newspapers is present everywhere.
In my opinion the artwork had a humble homely feeling, which was evoked by the similarities of an unsheltered pet house. A cardboard box; resembling a cozy refuge from the outside weather conditions. If the box resembled a shelter, and the newspaper bad news and considering that the bad news is everywhere, we couldn’t get away from it. Therefore this paradox was the most interesting part of the artwork.
Moreover I felt that the artwork was representing personal experience and this was very strange for me, I felt compelled to be sensitive with empathy for someone else’s grief. This intimacy was a brave step from the artist.
